BBC’s ‘Hardtalk’ keeps Arafat conspiracy theory going
The BBC’s flagship interview programme ‘Hardtalk’ is broadcast on both BBC World News and the BBC News channel. On August 27th, both those channels showed a repeat of a previous edition of the programme originally aired in January 2015 (and previously discussed here) in which Zeinab Badawi travelled to Malta to interview Suha Arafat.

BBC News editor Nick Robinson has apologized for initially identifying the London stabbing suspects as having a “Muslim appearance.”
The BBC editor said he was only quoting a senior Whitehall source, who was told by police that the attackers were “of Muslim appearance” and were shouting “Allahu Akbar.”
“That phrase ‘of Muslim appearance’ clearly offended some who demanded to know what it could possibly mean. Others were concerned that it was a racist generalisation,” Mr. Robinson wrote.
“I’m sorry for using a phrase that, on reflection, was both liable to be misinterpreted and to cause offence,” he added. “Many Muslims were quick to condemn the attack and to distance themselves and their religion from the brutal savagery seen on the streets of Woolwich.”

Mosab Hassan Yousuf, son of Hamas leader of West Bank Sheik Hassan Yousuf talks on T.V and as an Palestinian Arab Muslim claims he supports Israel because he is righteous and knows through his religion and history whose land it really belongs to, the Israelis.
He exposes all Arab lies against Israel and criticizes Islam for the hatred it teaches since he experienced it when he was a young boy. He very well admits the Arabs don’t want peace, just hate, war and fight while Israelis are striving for peace. On November 5th 2012 an article in the Middle East section of the BBC News website reported that: 
“A Palestinian has died after being hit by Israeli gunfire as he approached Gaza’s border fence with Israel. The Israeli military said the man was shot after ignoring warnings to stop…”

We call upon the BBC to release the findings to the general public of the Balen report that looked into its Middle East coverage and allegations of bias against Israel by the BBC. The BBC has spent over a third of a million pounds on covering up these findings for eight years. We believe this is a misuse of BBC licence fee payers’ money. The BBC should be obligated to reveal to its licence fee payers all the findings of this report on its coverage of the Middle East.
The BBC trust has to ensure that the BBC provides accurate and impartial news. The remit of the Balen report was to examine the BBC’s coverage of the Middle East. By covering up these findings it stops the Trust is not seen to be ensuring that the BBC is a purveyor of accurate and impartial news. The BBC must be accountable to the public it serves. The report should be released without delay. Otherwise, we can only assume that the BBC has something to hide.
